Lawrence N. Beer

Larry Beer has an outstanding track record in obtaining public sector approvals for development projects throughout the United States, and is undefeated in zoning and permitting applications with more than 100 projects approved.

Beer served as a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission for the city of Aurora, Colorado, a home rule city of 290,000 population.  He has served as Chairman of the Denver cable television regulatory board and as a member of the Colorado Utility Consumers' Board, which advises the Colorado Public Utilities Commission on consumer issues.  From 1999 to 2002, he served on the Board of Directors of a major regional mental health agency and its affiliated low income housing corporation.

Prior to establishing a development consulting practice, Beer was manager of the Denver Area Educational Telecommunications Consortium, a non-profit provider of instructional television programming for the K-12 classroom.  From 1977 to 1991, he was a newspaper advertising executive, trade association manager and broadcaster.

He is a licensed real estate broker, and received a B.A. in economics from the University of Colorado.  Beer works and plays well with people of all political persuasions, but recently served three terms as Treasurer of the Colorado Democratic Party.
